Kayaking 101 Class

Meet at Jockey’s Ridge State Park Visitors Center. 

On-water class at Whalebone location of Kitty Hawk Kites. 

$15 per person

The US Coast Guard Auxiliary and the American Canoe Association (ACA) are teaming up with Jockey’s Ridge State Park and Kitty Hawk Kites to offer a budget-friendly entry-level kayaking  class during National Safe Boating Week. This course will be led by ACA Instructor Roland McDevitt, with the support of local Coast Guard Auxiliarists and experienced paddlers from the OBX Paddlers Club. You’ll learn a bunch of cool maneuvers and rescue techniques, whether you’re a  total beginner or just curious about kayaking. It’s a great way to have fun and stay safe on the  water!  

Enrollment is limited to 15.
